Dear Parents / Guardians,
Please take note of the following information and sign the eNotice on or before 5th February, 2020 (Wednesday).
- The Education Bureau (The EDB) announced on 31st January, 2020 that due to the latest epidemic development, all schools (including kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools and private schools offering non-formal curriculum) will resume classes on 2nd March, 2020 the earliest pending further assessment. During the extended period of school holidays, our school will keep the premises open till 3:30 p.m. on the original scheduled school days. We will arrange staff to be on duty to look after students who have to go back to school otherwise they would be unattended at home. In such cases, each student should wear a mask at school and parents please also prepare for their lunch. Furthermore, the school is going to cancel the scheduled internal / external activities, after-school activities / extra-curricular activities (including activities on Saturdays) as well as Parents’ workshop and make appropriate re-arrangements later.
- The EDB strongly urged students to avoid going to areas affected by the epidemic outbreak. Parents should also arrange for their children who are travelling abroad to return to Hong Kong (for local students) / Shen Zhen (for cross-boundary students) on or before 3rd February, 2020. After returning home, they should be mindful of their physical conditions. If they feel unwell, they should seek medical treatment as soon as possible and inform the health care provider of their travel record. In short, students who had been to the high risk region (e.g. Wu Han) should stay at home for 14 days after the journey and pay special attention to the health. During the period of postponement of class resumption, all students should stay at home and avoid going to crowded places. Parents should suspend group/extra-curricular activities for their children, such as interest classes and tuition classes, and should not allow students to travel abroad in order to lower the risk of being infected.
- Under the request from the EDB, the class teacher will call the parent by phone from 3rd February, 2020 to 5th February, 2020, in order to understand whether they are in Hong Kong (for local students) / Shen Zhen (for cross-boundary students) on 3rd February, 2020 and also if they had travelled abroad (including cross-boundary students went to other cities in Mainland China) for holidays. The school has to report such information to the EDB on 6th February, 2020.
- The school encourages students to make good use of the eLearning resources through our school webpage for self-learning.
- Please pay close attention to the latest news and arrangement through our School APP and school website.
- For further enquires or special requests, please contact the staff of the school office at 2476 2433.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours faithfully,
Principal
